Frequently asked questions regarding
your appointment
Can I get anti-wrinkle cosmetic injectable treatments while pregnant?
Your safety is our main concern and for this reason, we do not treat clients who are pregnant. We advise against all cosmetic injectable treatments whilst pregnant simply out of precaution and due to the lack of information available on cosmetic injectable treatment effects on the fetus.
Are there any side effects after having Dermal Fillers?
The most common side effects occur within 24 hours post-treatment. These include swelling, bruising, redness, and tenderness. Immediate side effects usually disappear within days. However, depending on the type of dermal filler used, it can take a few weeks. At Spina Aesthetics, we strongly encourage a review appointment which is complimentary 2 weeks post-treatment to discuss your treatment results.
How long do Anti-Wrinkle Cosmetic Injectables results last?
Anti-Wrinkle treatments begin to work 2-3 days after the treatment and reach their full effect within 7-14 days. The effects can typically last for up to 3-4 months depending on the individual.

Can I eat or drink after Lip Filler?
Yes, you can eat and drink after Lip Filler. It may feel a little strange at first as there may be some swelling present. For the first 24 hours, you'll want to avoid eating foods that require excessive chewing, drinking from straws, and hot food directly to the lips so the product can settle.

How many units of anti-wrinkle treatment will I need?
To determine the correct dosage, we advise you to book a complimentary consultation with our nurse injector to assess correctly.
How should I prepare for my filler/toxin treatment?
Please avoid vigorous physical activity and alcohol intake for 24 hours prior to the treatment. This will reduce the risk of bruising. Avoid Aspirin, Vitamin E, and blood thinners that are not indicated for a medical condition such as fish oil for one week before the treatment.

How long do Dermal Fillers last?
Dermal Fillers can last up 6 to 8 months and in some cases longer depending on how fast the body metabolizes the product. Lips are a high activity area as we use them all the time, this can impact how long the results will last.

Am I a good candidate for dermal fillers?
People who are in good physical health and do not have any underlying health conditions that could affect healing are generally considered suitable candidates. At Spina Aesthetics, we create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. Your nurse injector will do a full evaluation to see if you are a suitable candidate for dermal fillers.
